Ball State Theatre & Dance Poster Series

Project Overview

As part of a collaborative design team, I helped create cohesive visual campaigns for Ball State’s Theatre and Dance department. Our responsibilities included designing show posters and social media graphics for each production, aligning our visuals with the overarching theme of the season. Each campaign required us to adapt our style, creatively interpret narratives, and maintain consistency across print and digital platforms—ensuring every show was both visually compelling and thematically unified.

Season 1

The concept was to play with flat colors and create dimension through its overlapping parts. Showcasing a limited color palette. Each design went through multiple stages and contributors—from illustration to typography.

Season 2

A continuation of Season 1 and a transition into Season 2.

Season 3

The posters were part of a larger series reflecting the department’s transition to a new space, with each phase telling a different part of the story: “Saying Goodbye,” “On the Road,” and “Coming Home.” Each design went through multiple stages and contributors—from illustration to typography—allowing us to bring the vision of “Saying Goodbye” to life in a way that resonated with the Ball State Theatre and Dance Department.
